A SARDUNYA SENSITIVE TO THE ENVIRONMENT AND PEOPLE
Sardunya places great importance on taking environmentally conscious steps with ecological approaches in every area it serves. Sardunya uses natural resources in the most appropriate and harmless ways, striving to preserve them for future generations. It works to prevent environmental pollution and never forgets its responsibility to people, animals, nature, and natural resources—reinforcing this commitment through its management systems and social responsibility initiatives.
In doing all of this, it operates in accordance with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System across all its activities.
OUR PROJECTS
Our Contribution to Nature
We contribute to afforestation projects carried out by the TEMA Foundation. Within this project, we plant saplings or make sapling donations on behalf of every new customer who joins us, Sardunya employees who get married, and the little Sardunyalıs who join our family. In this way, we take pride in having planted thousands of trees.
Educational Support for Children
We extended a helping hand to our little friends in need, aiming to make their school lives a little easier. By delivering stationery supplies collected within Sardunya to them, we tried to let them know they are not alone—both materially and emotionally. Because they are our future.
A Plate of Love
Many animals struggle to survive in difficult conditions on the streets and in shelters. With this awareness, we launched a joint social responsibility project with the Beykoz Animal Shelter. Within the scope of the project, we deliver post-service food waste from Sardunya kitchens to the shelter in accordance with proper procedures, thereby contributing to feeding many of our animal friends.
Stronger Together
The major earthquake disaster on February 6, 2023 deeply shook all of Turkey. During this difficult period, as the Sardunya family, we acted quickly and worked with all our strength to bring hope to earthquake survivors. We provided hygienic and nutritious food support to those in need in the region with 40,000 portions of hot meals. In addition, we set up 21 container living units and delivered winter clothing, blankets, and emergency supplies to disaster areas as quickly as possible.
Hope for the Marmara: Pina Project
Protecting the pina species in the Sea of Marmara is of great importance for the health of our ecosystem. By protecting the habitats of this rare species, we safeguard the future of our seas. As Sardunya, we will continue to support the Pina Project and contribute to the protection of this valuable species. With this project—the hope of the Marmara—we take responsibility for carrying our seas toward a healthier future.
